Challenge– Marketing literature of a client working in women’s health issues. The language was very informal, there were country-specific references. Also there were images showing ‘before’, ‘during’ and ‘after’ the use of the product, they were in left to right order.
Solution – We localized the content suiting to the sensibilities of the user, adapted the local references. Importantly, worked with the graphic designer to re-position the ‘before’, ‘during’ and ‘after’ images as the text would be read from right to left.
Value to the client – Going beyond just translation, and keeping the end use of the content in mind. Initiative to work with the graphic designer so that the end document is perfect.
