Challenge– A video conference would take place where participants joined from Germany, India HO and India field office. The conversation, more in QA form would happen in German, English and Marathi. The interpreter had to juggle between these three languages and that too – fast. VC technology was another player.
Solution – The interpreter had excellent command over all the three languages. She prepared herself for 3 days for this 4 hour conference. The preparatory study included reading the given material, going through the work done by the India field office and briefing from the India HO.
